Adventures Into The Wild

Hey, guys its been a while since I have posted anything on the blog, this is due to me having back-to-back exams with hardly any break in between and my college applications. Now that my exams are done I will be getting back into photography.  I have my first trip planned for the 26th of March to a hide located on the outskirts of Bangalore. After that, I have 3 full days safaris planned at Ranthambore from the 20th to the 22nd of April. Then in may I again have exams for a week. In June I am planning a trip to Bandhavgarh National Park, the trip is still in the planning stages so the dates are not yet confirmed.

The weekend before school started my father and I visited a bird hide close to Bangalore which has a wide variety of birds and reptiles. The hide is close to my house and hardly took an hour and a half to reach. The hide is on barren land, a part of which was converted by the owner into the hide.This sort of photography was a new and interesting experience for me and I thoroughly enjoyed it. We saw over fifteen species of birds in the two and a half hours we spent over there. The area around the hide has a rain fed river because of which  birds like the Jerdon's Leafbird and the Coppersmith Barbet visit the hide. I recently visited Nainital for four days and during that visit I went to Sattal on two mornings and saw the following birds.
