Jala Tarang

An event was the first of a series of  events set up by the Jala Poshan team at Jakkur lake . " Jala Tarang" is a series of events at the Jakkur Lake. The main aim of the event was to raise awareness of the lake and celebrate the pride of Lake/Wetland as a National Resource . At the lake many events were held such as kite making , rangoli  and a drawing competition . There were people teaching the villagers and residents of the apartments surrounding the lake about wet waste composting. A women's group even came and shared with the visitors about eco friendly recyclable bag.
